Every time I walk into World Market and eye their snazzily displayed rugs up front, I think,
“Dang, I need to use one of those rugs to upholster an ottoman.” Inevitably I get sidetracked over at the placemat section and forget about the rugs. From the looks of things on HGTV’s Design Star and from Wisteria’s offerings, it’s time has come.
I’ll have to whip up a tutorial on this to show how to get those corners and edges done right. Until then, if you’re looking for a rug, be sure to get the least bulky one you can find. Not many people are equipped with the kind of staple gun that will go through an inch of bulky woven rug.
